Big Changes in the SASSA Payment Process You Must Know

Sassa wants to tell everyone that Postbank will stop working with them in October 2025. Don’t worry though – you’ll still get your money on time. You can still use your Sassa card at ATMs and shops. But it’s better if you switch to your own bank account or sign up for payments at a store. If you want to change how you get your money you need to bring these things:

– Your South African ID

– Papers that show you have a bank account (either bank statements from the last three months or a letter from your bank if it’s a new account)

Take these papers to any Sassa office. You’ll need to fill out a form there too. Make sure you do this before the 19th of the month. Then your new payment method will start the next month.
