Who Qualifies for the R2310 Disability Grant in South Africa 2025?
– You need to be a South African Citizen Resident or Refugee to apply.
-The grant is only for adults between 18 and 59 years old.
– You must not live in a state care facility and you need a 13-digit ID number.
– There are income limits. If you’re single you can’t earn more than R86,280 per year. For married people the combined income must be under R172560 per year.
– Asset limits also apply. Single people must own less than R1,227,600 in assets.
– Married couples can’t have combined assets worth more than R2,455200.
– You need a medical exam by a state doctor who will check how disabled you are. This decides if you get the grant & if it’s temporary or permanent.
– Bring your medical records when you apply. Remember that medical reports are only good for three months after the checkup.
– The state will look at the doctor’s report to decide if you qualify for the grant.
