Old people will get their money on October 2.

– If you get disability support your payment comes on October 3.

– Everyone else including parents who get child support will be paid on October 4.

SASSA wants everyone to know these dates so they can plan ahead. The money will go straight to your SASSA card or bank account on these days. Remember that shops and ATMs might be busy on payment days so plan your withdrawals wisely. These dates work for both the regular grants and the special SRD grant. Make sure your details are up to date so you don’t miss your payment.

SASSA wants people to think ahead about when to get their money. You don’t need to go on the first day because the lines will be very long.

The agency is also warning people about money being taken from their grants without permission. If you see this happen you should tell SASSA right away. You can report problems in two ways.

You can go to a SASSA office near you or send a text message to 34548. For the text message you need to include your ID number and the name of your bank.

SASSA wants to remind everyone about the rules for grant deductions. They say you can only have one deduction each month. This can’t be more than 10% of your grant money and you need to agree to it first.

They also told us when the COVID-19 SRD payments for October 2025 will happen. People will get their money between October 27 and 30 2025.

Some people have payment delays because their status shows as “referred.” If this happens to you SASSA says you should check your identity details online.

Once you fix this problem you’ll get your money in the next payment round. You’ll also get any past payments you missed according to the payment schedule.
