40,000 SASSA Beneficiaries Finish Biometric Enrolment Ahead Of Payments

SASSA has enrolled over 42000 people in their new security system. The agency started checking grant applications more carefully in September to stop fraud. People who get social grants now need to give their fingerprints and other personal information. SASSA’s boss Themba Matlou says they will help people who have trouble with the new system. Their spokesperson Andile Tshona mentioned that the enrollment is happening at 432 SASSA offices across South Africa. The new checks apply to new applicants and people who need to update their information. The text is now easier to read with simpler words and shorter sentences. It keeps the main points but removes unnecessary details.
