Who Qualifies for the R2310 South Africa Disability Grant?
– You need to be a South African Citizen Resident or Refugee to apply.
– The grant is only for adults between 18 and 59 years old.
– You must not live in a state care facility
– you need a 13-digit ID number.
– There are money limits too. If you’re single you can’t earn more than R86,280 per year.
– For married people the combined income must be under R172,560 per year.
– Your assets must be worth less than R1227600 if you’re single or R2,455,200 if you’re married.
– You’ll need to see a doctor chosen by the government. They will check how disabled you are.
– The government will use this report to decide if you can get the grant and if it’s temporary or permanent.
– Remember to bring your old medical records when you apply. Also keep in mind that medical reports are only good for three months after the checkup.
